Camp
Lone Star Annual Barbecue,
Auction and Worship the last Sunday of July every year
(July 25, 2010).

Each summer the staff and supporters of Camp Lone Star,
La Grange, Texas, gather to celebrate the blessings
that God has bestowed on the work done at camp and through
Lutheran Outdoors Ministry of Texas. The event features
a worship service with guest speaker, special music,
delicious barbecue meal, a live and silent auctions
and loads of fun for the whole family. It also provides
an opportunity for further support of this ongoing mission
of ministry and outreach. |

The
worship service is held outdoors under a tree canopy
with additional seating in air-conditioned buildings
where the message is brought in via a speaker system.
Music
will be provided by camp staff. A delicious barbecue
meal with all the trimmings is served after the service.
No tickets needed - donations are accepted through a
freewill offering. A live fundraiser auction is held
in the air-conditioned Koop Center from 1 till 3 p.m.
with proceeds supporting the work of Camp Lone Star
and LOMT.
Donated auction offerings range from new items to antiques,
from gift baskets to service certificates…something
for everyone!
All
are invited. Come to this annual reunion of young families,
supporters, and OWLs (old Walther Leaguers!).
